Every figure is either a first-party statistic derived from the PsyAccess verified-provider dataset or a published figure from a named primary source, each with its date. We update this page as the dataset changes.

Providers: the verified directory

Each line is a first-party statistic computed from the PsyAccess verified-provider dataset; every record carries a named source and a verification date. Counts as of 2026-09-04.

• 486 verified providers across 27 European countries — directory, methodology.
• 212 certified esketamine (Spravato) centres, of which the largest national networks are Switzerland (BAG-designated centres) and Poland (NFZ programme B.147 sites) — directory by country.
• 128 verified clinical-trial sites in 19 countries — clinical trials guide.

Esketamine reimbursement: 20 of 25 countries

Derived from PsyAccess country research (each country row verified 2026-09-01 against the national payer or regulator; see the reimbursement overview).

• 9 countries run a routine national reimbursement route that reaches outpatients: Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Czechia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia.
• 8 countries fund esketamine as a hospital-only medicine: Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain.
• 3 countries fund it partially or conditionally: the UK (NHS Scotland only, via an SMC patient access scheme; NICE TA854 closed the routine route in England and Wales), Sweden (region-by-region, "strongly restrained" NT Council recommendation), Austria (inpatient via LKF hospital financing; outpatient only with case-by-case chief-physician approval).
• 5 countries have no public route: Norway (rejected three times by Beslutningsforum, last reassessment declined April 2025), Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Cyprus.
• Poland's NFZ drug programme B.147 (since 2023) funds drug, visits and monitoring in full at around 64 contracted centres, ages 18–75, capped at 34 weeks (NFZ, verified 2026-09-01) — Poland guide.
• Switzerland added Spravato to the Spezialitätenliste on 1 October 2025 (temporary limitations to 30 September 2028): reimbursed only at the 52 BAG-designated centres, after prior insurer approval, for a maximum of 10 months (BAG) — Switzerland reimbursement guide.
• Germany reimburses via the GKV without prior authorisation for the on-label indication; the post-dose observation has had its own billing code (GOP 01549, retroactive to 1 October 2023, about €33 extra-budgetary), and the G-BA rated esketamine's added benefit "considerable" in 2023 — Germany reimbursement guide.

Prices: published figures only

All figures below are prices published by the providers themselves and collected in our cost guide (verified summer 2026). Fewer than half of the private ketamine and KAP clinics in our directory publish prices at all — itself a notable statistic.

• United Kingdom: £265–595 per ketamine infusion; full KAP programmes from about £6,000; an NHS self-funded service (Oxford Health) prices infusion and initial assessment at £265 each, around £3,000 per year.
• Germany: €200–300 per infusion; a six-week private day-clinic programme around €15,000.
• Austria: published session fees of €150–450 (esketamine session €150–250; ketamine session €350, €450 with psychotherapy); the Wahlarzt system typically refunds €80–110 per session.
• Switzerland: roughly 300–500 CHF per private infusion session; none of the university centres publish prices.
• Poland: full programmes 9,300–15,660 PLN (the larger buys twelve IV infusions plus twelve integration sessions); maintenance infusions 1,200–1,450 PLN.
• Portugal: KAP programme €3,900 with insurance, €5,500 without; €120 initial evaluation.
• Czechia: one Prague clinic prices from 17,600 CZK (Czech-language, one therapist, contracted insurer) to 72,070 CZK (self-pay, English, two therapists).
• Norway: NOK 4,250–7,590 per infusion; programmes NOK 32,460–47,640.
• Spain: €575 per infusion with therapeutic accompaniment (one publishing clinic).

Clinical trials: the CTIS picture

Derived from the EU Clinical Trials Information System public API (psychedelic and related search terms; dataset fetched 2026-08-31) — how trials work.

• 67 psychedelic and related trials in the CTIS dataset (substances searched include psilocybin, esketamine/ketamine for depression, MDMA, LSD, DMT and 5-MeO-DMT compounds).
• 26 trials are ongoing and actively recruiting; a further 25 are authorised or ongoing but not currently recruiting (authorised-not-started, not-yet-recruiting, or recruitment ended); 12 have ended.
• Separately, the PsyAccess directory verifies 128 individual trial sites across 19 countries, combining CTIS and ClinicalTrials.gov records with the sites' own announcements.

Country programmes worth knowing

• Switzerland runs Europe's only legal non-trial route to psilocybin, LSD and MDMA: under Article 8 exceptional authorisations, roughly 100 individually authorised physicians treated 723 patients in 2024 (BAG). • Germany's psilocybin compassionate-use programme — the EU's first — runs exclusively at ZI Mannheim and OVID Berlin — Germany guide.
• The UK splits by nation: NICE TA854 means no routine NHS esketamine in England and Wales; the Scottish Medicines Consortium accepted it under a patient access scheme — UK guide, Scotland guide.
