PZM's public pages for Psychiatrie Biel describe the outpatient clinic and crisis intervention ward but do not publish an esketamine service. Since PZM's Biel site appears on the BAG list of designated Spravato centres, contact Psychiatrie Biel (+41 32 324 23 23) or the PZM main house in Muensingen to ask where esketamine treatment is delivered.
What must be fulfilled for reimbursed Spravato treatment in Switzerland?
Basic insurance covers esketamine nasal spray only at BAG-designated centres, for adults 18-74 with treatment-resistant depression - at least two adequate antidepressant trials plus one augmentation attempt without sufficient response, CGI-S of 5 or higher - with prior insurer approval (Kostengutsprache) and a maximum of 10 months of treatment.
