The Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology (Instytut Psychiatrii i Neurologii, IPiN) at ul. Sobieskiego 9 in Warsaw's Mokotów district is, per its own site, Poland's largest research centre developing new methods of treating and rehabilitating mental and neurological disorders. How do I get esketamine treatment at IPiN?
A referral from a psychiatrist is required. Qualification follows the B.147 program criteria: age 18-75 and moderate to severe treatment-resistant depression after at least two adequately conducted antidepressant treatments. Contact the Institute's exchange at 22 45 82 800 or use e-registration at erejestracja.ipin.edu.pl.
Does the treatment cost anything?
No. Program B.147 is fully funded by NFZ — esketamine (Spravato) sessions, administration and the required observation are free for eligible patients, for up to 34 weeks.
