About this provider

The Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology (Instytut Psychiatrii i Neurologii, IPiN) at ul. Sobieskiego 9 in Warsaw's Mokotów district is, per its own site, Poland's largest research centre developing new methods of treating and rehabilitating mental and neurological disorders. Per NFZ data it provides esketamine for treatment-resistant depression under the fully funded NFZ program B.147. The Institute combines inpatient psychiatric and neurological care, outpatient clinics with e-registration, modern diagnostics, and clinical research programs, allowing new therapeutic approaches to be implemented directly in patient care.

How do I get esketamine treatment at IPiN?

A referral from a psychiatrist is required. Qualification follows the B.147 program criteria: age 18-75 and moderate to severe treatment-resistant depression after at least two adequately conducted antidepressant treatments. Contact the Institute's exchange at 22 45 82 800 or use e-registration at erejestracja.ipin.edu.pl.

Does the treatment cost anything?

No. Program B.147 is fully funded by NFZ, esketamine (Spravato) sessions, administration and the required observation are free for eligible patients, for up to 34 weeks.

What is the waiting time?

Per NFZ data (as of June 2026), the first available date was 2026-07-01, with no patients in the queue.
