Who qualifies for ketamine or S-ketamine treatment at PUK?

The service targets patients with treatment-resistant depression, defined by PUK as at least two unsuccessful adequate treatment attempts in the current episode. For OKP-reimbursed Spravato, the Swiss Limitatio additionally requires age 18-74, failure of at least two antidepressants plus one augmentation attempt, CGI-S of 5 or higher, prior insurer approval (Kostengutsprache) and a 10-month maximum.

How do I register for the depression second-opinion service?

Registration is exclusively by email, and PUK requests a referral letter from a specialist physician. The clinic then assesses whether specialised options such as S-ketamine, ECT or other procedures could improve your situation.

Registration runs via the ZDAP form (Anmeldeformular ZDAP), completed and sent by your outpatient treating doctor, not by you or by us. Psilocybin-assisted therapy requires at least two different antidepressants plus one augmentation failed in the current episode, and runs only under an individual BAG authorisation (not guaranteed).
