About this provider

GGZ Rivierduinen, a regional mental health institution in the Leiden area, started esketamine treatments in 2025 at its new esketamine outpatient clinic in Leiden. The treatment is intended for adults struggling with depression for whom other medication or therapies do not help sufficiently. During a session the esketamine is sprayed three times into both nostrils; clients describe an intense altered experience for roughly forty minutes and remain at the clinic until the effects subside, going home after about two hours.
