Who is eligible?
Adults aged 18-75 with recurrent depression (ICD-10 F33.1 or F33.2) of at least moderate severity that has not responded to at least two different antidepressants in the current episode, with the exclusions listed on the hospital's programme page. The programme is NFZ-funded.
How is the drug administered?
After qualification, patients attend Day Psychiatric Ward no. 8 twice a week on scheduled days. Esketamine is given in a treatment room in the presence of a nurse and doctor, with blood pressure and pulse checks and a one-hour observation period after each dose.
