Integrierte Psychiatrie Winterthur - Zuercher Unterland (ipw) is the public psychiatric services provider for the Winterthur and Zuercher Unterland region of canton Zurich, based at Wieshofstrasse 102 in Winterthur. It runs crisis intervention, outpatient, day-clinic, inpatient and outreach services for young people (10-25), adults and older people, with referrals handled through a central patient-registration unit. Do I need a referral for Spravato treatment at ipw?

The Swiss reimbursement route runs through specialist psychiatric care. Patient registrations at ipw are handled by its central registration unit (+41 52 264 37 77), which physicians use for referrals and which also advises private individuals; discuss esketamine with your treating psychiatrist first.

Will basic insurance pay for esketamine nasal spray here?

Only within the BAG Limitatio: adults 18-74 with treatment-resistant depression (at least two antidepressants with different mechanisms plus one augmentation attempt failed, confirmed severity), and the insurer's cost approval (Kostengutsprache) must be obtained before the first dose. Reimbursement is limited to a maximum of 10 months.
