Psychiatrie Baselland (PBL) is the public psychiatric provider for the canton of Basel-Landschaft, headquartered at Bienentalstrasse 7 in Liestal and named on the official BAG list of designated Spravato centres. Its depression and burnout care spans outpatient clinics in Liestal, Binningen and Muenchenstein, a day clinic in Muenchenstein and inpatient wards, combining psychotherapy (including mentalization-based therapy), medication, creative and body-oriented therapies and social-service support. Is Spravato (esketamine) covered by insurance at Psychiatrie Baselland?
PBL is on the BAG list of designated Spravato centres. Under the Swiss Limitatio, basic insurance (OKP) reimburses esketamine nasal spray for adults aged 18-74 with treatment-resistant depression - at least two adequate antidepressant trials plus one augmentation attempt without sufficient response and illness severity of CGI-S 5 or higher - subject to prior insurer approval (Kostengutsprache) and a maximum of 10 months of treatment.
How do I get access to treatment at PBL?

Does PBL publish details of its esketamine programme?
No. PBL's public depression pages describe psychotherapeutic, pharmacological and rehabilitative treatment but do not list an esketamine service. Since PBL appears on the official BAG centre list, ask the admission office directly whether you meet the criteria for esketamine treatment.
