This entry is the Lodz-Gorna service point of the Specjalistyczny Psychiatryczny Zespol Opieki Zdrowotnej w Lodzi (the Babinski psychiatric hospital, ul. Aleksandrowska 159), which operates both the Lodz-Baluty and Lodz-Gorna Mental Health Centres. Per NFZ data the hospital is a contracted centre of drug programme B.147, providing esketamine (Spravato) free of charge for treatment-resistant depression. Per its own site it also runs inpatient psychiatric wards, an admissions unit, outpatient clinics, day wards, psychogeriatric, detox and forensic wards, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

What is needed to join the esketamine programme?

A referral from a psychiatrist opens the route into the NFZ drug programme B.147; the hospital's team then checks eligibility — adults aged 18-75 with treatment-resistant depression, i.e. no response to at least two different antidepressants used adequately in the current episode.

What does the NFZ cover?

Everything within the programme: the esketamine nasal spray, its supervised administration at the centre and the required monitoring, for up to 34 weeks of treatment.
