Common questions

How do I get into the Expertisecentrum Depressie?

Your GP (or another care professional) refers you to Synaeda Drachten. The intake checks whether the programme fits; day diagnostics follow, during which your symptoms are mapped in detail and additional tests are done. At the end of that day the team discusses the best course for your treatment, which then starts as soon as possible.

Does Synaeda offer esketamine nasal spray?

Synaeda is listed as an affiliated institution of the national ENC-NL esketamine nasal spray consortium. Its own website does not publish patient information about the esketamine programme, so contact the Drachten centre (0512 76 81 00, drachten@synaeda.nl) or ask your referrer about current availability.

What are the waiting times?

For the Drachten location Synaeda reported (updates of late June / early July 2026) an average of about 28 weeks between referral and first appointment, and about 9 weeks between intake and first treatment appointment. Check the live wachttijden page for current figures.
