About this provider
NUDZ (National Institute of Mental Health, Klecany) is the Czech national centre for mental-health research, implementation, education and clinical care, and a WHO collaborating centre. Its dedicated Psychedelic Research Center, headed by MUDr. Tomas Palenicek, Ph.D., spans preclinical work (neuroplasticity, electrophysiology, NPS toxicity) through clinical trials, and also conducts contracted psychedelic research. Clinically, NUDZ is completing a psilocybin study in healthy volunteers and running a trial comparing the antidepressant effect of psilocybin versus ketamine in treatment-resistant depression. The institute also provides regular psychiatric care: outpatient clinics, three inpatient wards plus a sleep ward, day-care centres and diagnostics (EEG, MRI, clinical psychology).
