About this provider

Compassionate-use arm of OVID Clinics Berlin: under the direction of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Gruender, individual adult patients with treatment-resistant depression can receive psilocybin (PEX010, Filament Health) at the OVID day clinic in Berlin within Germany's first authorised Expanded Access (Compassionate Use) Programme, run jointly with the Central Institute of Mental Health (ZI) Mannheim since July 2025. It is not a regular therapy offer: eligibility requires a serious illness, no satisfactory approved treatment and no possibility of trial participation, with case-by-case benefit-risk review.

Common questions

Can I apply for psilocybin treatment?

Only in justified exceptional cases: adults with treatment-resistant depression, no satisfactory approved treatment available, and participation in a clinical trial not possible; each case undergoes benefit-risk review.

Is the programme a route to regular psilocybin therapy?

No. ZI/OVID state the Compassionate Use Programme cannot replace regulatory approval and that demand will significantly exceed capacity.
